Foreign Minister Holds Telecon with his Kyrgyz Counterpart 

A telecon was held between IEA-Foreign Minister, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, and the Minister of Foreign of Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Mr. Zheenbek Kulubaev.
The conversation centered on a range of issues including bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to further consolidate joint cooperation.
During the conversation, in-depth discussion was held on enhanced political relations, economic engagement, trade, investment, and joint projects between Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan.

Expressing Afghanistan’s readiness to operationalize the existing understandings between the two countries and establish new avenues of cooperation, FM Muttaqi noted that the relevant authorities remain committed to comprehensive collaboration in the implementation of joint projects and the expansion of economic and trade relations.
Views were shared on the exchange of high-level delegations, regular political engagement, and the further consolidation of relations between the two countries.

Likewise, FM Muttaqi described Kyrgyzstan’s election as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council as a crucial achievement and, in this regard, underscored the importance of joint cooperation and mutual support between Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan.
Both sides underscored the continued efforts to further advance relations between Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan and to implement the existing understandings.
