The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, held a telephonic conversation with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, Mohammad Ishaq Dar.
During the call, the discussions focused on bilateral relations, transit matters, the regional situation, and tensions between Pakistan and India.
It was decided to release Afghan traders’ transit goods that had been held at the ports of Karachi and Wagah. Both sides further committed to undertaking efforts aimed at resolving impediments along transit routes.
Moreover, the two sides reiterated the importance of maintaining high-level contacts and exchanges of delegations, and to work towards enhanced bilateral relations.
