Expressing condolences over the losses caused by last night’s earthquake in northern Afghanistan, Dr. Jaishankar informed about India’s immediate humanitarian assistance, including 15 tons of food supplies to be delivered to the Islamic Emirate. Additionally, he said that further essential assistance in medicine & food would follow soon.
Appreciating Dr. Jaishankar for his condolences, sympathy, and support for the Afghan people, FM Muttaqi assured the timely delivery of the assistance to those in need.
In the end, both sides discussed strengthening bilateral relations & regional issues, stressing the follow-up on the outcomes of the recent visit of the Afghan Foreign Minister to India.
